  1. 1. Separate the eggs. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff, adding the sugar gradually. Thoroughly wash the orange, dry it, and finely grate the peel.
  2. 2. Beat the soft butter with the egg yolks and vanilla powder until frothy. Then add the spices and orange peel. Sift the flour and mix with the baking powder, then stir in alternately with the milk into the butter mixture. Finally, gently fold in the egg whites.
  3. 3. Preheat the waffle iron and grease if necessary. Put 2 tablespoons of the batter in, place an ice cream stick in the center, close the waffle iron, and bake golden brown waffles on a stick one after the other.
  4. 4. Melt the two types of chocolate one after the other in a double boiler. Decorate the baked waffles with the melted chocolate, sprinkle with pistachios, and serve.
