🍽️ Healthy Whole Grain Cookies

Ingredients
- 125 g soft butter
- 1 egg
- 50 g fruit sugar
- 50 g ground hazelnuts
- 200 g wheat whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- clove (1 small pinch each ground)
- cinnamon (1 small pinch each ground)
- 80 g currant jam
- 1 tbsp fruit sugar
Instructions
- 1. Put the butter into a bowl.
- 2. Whisk the butter until fluffy.
- 3. Add the egg.
- 4. Add the fruit sugar.
- 5. Add the ground nuts.
- 6. Add the flour.
- 7. Add the baking powder.
- 8. Add the spices.
- 9. Mix everything into a firm dough.
- 10. Sprinkle some flour on your work surface.
- 11. Knead the dough briefly with your hands.
- 12. Wrap the dough in foil.
- 13. Put the dough in the fridge for 1 hour.
- 14. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- 15. Spread some flour on your work surface.
- 16. Roll out the dough to about 3 to 4 millimeters thick.
- 17. Cut out diamond-shaped cookies with a serrated edge.
- 18. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- 19. Place the cookies on the tray.
- 20. Bake the cookies for about 12 minutes until golden brown.
- 21. Take the cookies out of the oven.
- 22. Loosen the cookies from the tray.
- 23. Place the cookies on a cooling rack.
- 24. Spread some jam on the bottom of a hot cookie.
- 25. Press a second cookie on top.
- 26. Let the cookies cool on the rack.
- 27. Put the fruit sugar into a fine sieve.
- 28. Dust the cookies with the fruit sugar.
