  1. 1. Separate the eggs. Carefully separate the egg whites from the yolks.
  2. 2. Take half of the butter and beat it with the sugar until creamy.
  3. 3. Stir the egg yolks into the butter mixture.
  4. 4. Mix the whole wheat flour with the baking powder in a separate bowl.
  5. 5. Add the yogurt and milk to the butter mixture.
  6. 6. Stir in the flour mixture until you have a smooth batter.
  7. 7. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff peaks form.
  8. 8. Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the waffle batter.
  9. 9. Preheat your waffle iron and grease it with the remaining butter.
  10. 10. Bake the waffles one by one until golden brown.
  11. 11. Keep the finished waffles warm while you bake the rest.
  12. 12. Peel the mango and cut the flesh into strips.
  13. 13. Wash the berries and let them drain well.
  14. 14. Halve the berries if they are very large.
  15. 15. Distribute the waffles onto four plates.
  16. 16. Top the waffles with the fresh fruit.
  17. 17. Drizzle everything with maple syrup and serve immediately.
