🍽️ Whole grain sandwich with tuna and tomato

Ingredients
- 4 Tomatoes
- 200 g Tuna in its own juice (can)
- 50 g Quark
- Lemon juice
- Salt
- Pepper (from the mill)
- 8 Lettuce leaves (e.g. iceberg lettuce hearts)
- 8 slices Whole wheat bread
Instructions
- 1. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly.
- 2. Cut the tomatoes into quarters.
- 3. Remove the seeds from the tomato pieces.
- 4. Dice the seeded tomatoes into small cubes.
- 5. Take the tuna can and drain the liquid.
- 6. Add the drained tuna to a bowl.
- 7. Add the tomato cubes to the bowl with the tuna.
- 8. Add the quark to the bowl.
- 9. Mix the tuna, tomatoes, and quark well together.
- 10. Add some lemon juice to the mixture.
- 11. Season the filling with salt.
- 12. Season the filling with pepper.
- 13. Taste the filling one last time to adjust seasoning.
- 14. Wash the lettuce leaves under running water.
- 15. Remove tough stems or wilted green parts from the lettuce.
- 16. Tear the lettuce leaves into small pieces.
- 17. Take half of the chopped lettuce.
- 18. Distribute this half onto the four slices of bread.
- 19. Spread the tuna cream onto the bread slices.
- 20. Take the remaining lettuce.
- 21. Distribute the remaining lettuce on top of the tuna cream.
- 22. Place the remaining bread slices on top.
- 23. Cut each sandwich diagonally in half.
- 24. Serve the sandwiches immediately.
