  1. 1. Boil water in a large pot and add some salt.
  2. 2. Add the whole wheat spaghetti to the boiling water.
  3. 3. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente.
  4. 4. Rinse the cherry tomatoes under running water.
  5. 5. Cut the tomatoes in half.
  6. 6. Rinse the arugula under running water.
  7. 7. Remove any thick stems or wilted leaves from the arugula.
  8. 8. Set aside a few nice sprigs of arugula for garnish.
  9. 9. Roughly chop the remaining arugula.
  10. 10. Peel the garlic cloves.
  11. 11. Finely chop the garlic.
  12. 12. Heat oil in a large pan.
  13. 13. Add the chopped garlic and the roughly chopped arugula to the hot pan.
  14. 14. Sauté the vegetables briefly until fragrant.
  15. 15. Add the halved tomatoes to the pan.
  16. 16. Add the drained whole wheat spaghetti to the pan.
  17. 17. Toss everything well to mix the pasta with the vegetables.
  18. 18. Season the dish with salt and pepper to taste.
  19. 19. Serve the pasta on plates.
  20. 20. Garnish the dishes with the reserved arugula sprigs.
