  2. 2. Sift the flour through a sieve into the bowl.
  3. 3. Add the baking soda (leavening agent) to the bowl.
  4. 4. Add the butter to the bowl.
  5. 5. Add the egg yolks to the bowl.
  6. 6. Add the quark (curd cheese) to the bowl.
  7. 7. Knead all ingredients well together until a dough forms.
  8. 8. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius fan mode.
  9. 9. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  10. 10. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces.
  11. 11. Shape each piece into a small roll.
  12. 12. Place the rolls on the prepared tray.
  13. 13. Cut a cross about 5 millimeters deep into each roll.
  14. 14. Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
