🍽️ Crunchy Whole Wheat Rolls

Ingredients
- 250 g rye whole wheat flour
- 250 g wheat whole wheat flour
- 0.5 packet baking soda
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 egg yolks
- 250 g quark
Instructions
- 1. Pour both types of flour into a large mixing bowl.
- 2. Sift the flour through a sieve into the bowl.
- 3. Add the baking soda (leavening agent) to the bowl.
- 4. Add the butter to the bowl.
- 5. Add the egg yolks to the bowl.
- 6. Add the quark (curd cheese) to the bowl.
- 7. Knead all ingredients well together until a dough forms.
- 8. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius fan mode.
- 9. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- 10. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces.
- 11. Shape each piece into a small roll.
- 12. Place the rolls on the prepared tray.
- 13. Cut a cross about 5 millimeters deep into each roll.
- 14. Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
