🍽️ Crunchy Whole Grain Nut Bread

Ingredients
- 500 g wheat whole grain flour
- 50 g raisins
- 50 g coarsely chopped walnut kernels
- 250 ml lukewarm water
- 1 cube yeast
- 1 tsp cane sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- butter (for the pan)
- 2 tbsp oat flakes
Instructions
- 1. Dissolve the yeast and sugar in the lukewarm water. Stir the mixture until everything has completely dissolved.
- 2. Mix the flour and salt in a large mixing bowl. Add the yeast-sugar mixture.
- 3. Knead the dough using the dough hooks of an electric hand mixer until it is elastic. Add a little more flour or water if necessary to achieve the right consistency.
- 4. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 45 minutes.
- 5. Sprinkle some flour on your work surface. Take the dough out and knead it briefly.
- 6. Work the raisins and walnuts evenly into the dough.
- 7. Shape the dough into a round loaf. Roll it briefly in the oat flakes so that it is covered on the outside.
- 8. Grease a baking pan. Place the dough loaf inside.
- 9. Cover the pan and let the dough rise again for about 15 minutes.
- 10. Preheat your oven to 200 degrees. Bake the bread for 35 to 40 minutes.
- 11. Take the bread out of the oven. Let it cool down a bit in the pan.
- 12. Turn the bread out of the pan. Let it cool completely before slicing it.
