🍽️ Three Aromatic Herb and Chili Oils

Ingredients
- 3 sprigs rosemary
- 6 sprigs thyme
- 5 fresh bay leaves
- 4 fresh garlic cloves
- 10 chili peppers (depending on desired heat level)
- 2 l olive oil
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the rosemary and thyme briefly under running water.
- 2. Gently dry the herbs with a kitchen towel.
- 3. Place the rosemary and bay leaves into a clean bottle with a capacity of about 1 liter.
- 4. Peel the garlic cloves and cut them in half.
- 5. Put the garlic halves and thyme into a second bottle with a capacity of about 0.7 liters.
- 6. Dip the chili peppers briefly into boiling water (this is called blanching).
- 7. Remove the chili peppers from the water, drain them, and pat them dry.
- 8. Cut the chili peppers in half lengthwise.
- 9. Place the chili halves into a third bottle with a capacity of about 0.5 liters.
- 10. Fill oil into all three bottles until the ingredients are completely covered.
- 11. Seal the bottles tightly and place them in a cool, dark place.
- 12. Let the oils infuse for at least two weeks.
- 13. Then strain the finished oils through a sieve into clean bottles.
- 14. Your aromatic oils are now ready to use.
