Ingredients
- 24 Venus Clams
- 2 Garlic Cloves
- 2 Shallots
- 3 tbsp Parsley (chopped)
- 3 tbsp fresh Cilantro (chopped)
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- Salt
- Pepper (from the mill)
- Sea Salt
Instructions
- 1. Peel the shallots and the garlic.
- 2. Finely chop the shallots and the garlic.
- 3. Mix the chopped vegetables with the parsley and the coriander.
- 4. Stir the oil into the herb mixture.
- 5. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
- 6. Thoroughly wash the Venus clams.
- 7. Remove the beards and any other impurities from the clams.
- 8. Open the clam shells.
- 9. Carefully detach the muscle attachments from the shells.
- 10. Leave the clams in their respective shells.
- 11. Spread a thick layer of coarse sea salt onto a baking sheet.
- 12. Place the clam halves on the salt bed.
- 13. Distribute the herb filling evenly over the clams.
- 14. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees.
- 15. Place the tray in the preheated oven.
- 16. Bake the clams for about 10 minutes.
- 17. Take the clams directly out of the oven.
- 18. Serve the Venus clams immediately.
