  8. 8. Open the clam shells.
  9. 9. Carefully detach the muscle attachments from the shells.
  10. 10. Leave the clams in their respective shells.
  11. 11. Spread a thick layer of coarse sea salt onto a baking sheet.
  12. 12. Place the clam halves on the salt bed.
  13. 13. Distribute the herb filling evenly over the clams.
  14. 14. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees.
