  3. 3. Pulse the beans together with the breadcrumbs and a little lukewarm water (up to 75 milliliters) until finely chopped.
  4. 4. Transfer the bean mixture into a bowl.
  5. 5. Peel the onion and chop it finely.
  6. 6. Add the chopped onion, cumin, salt, pepper, and chili to the bean mixture.
  7. 7. Mix all ingredients thoroughly.
  8. 8. Let the mixture rest covered for about 30 minutes.
  9. 9. Wash the tomato under running water.
  10. 10. Remove the stem area of the tomato.
  11. 11. Slice the tomato into four equal slices.
  12. 12. Wash the salad greens under running water.
  13. 13. Dry the salad, for example in a salad spinner.
  14. 14. Cut the dry salad into strips.
  15. 15. Preheat the oven to the grill function.
  16. 16. Check if the bean mixture is easy to shape.
  17. 17. If necessary, add a little more water or breadcrumbs to optimize the consistency.

  19. 19. Shape four round burger patties from the mixture.
