  5. 5. Let the rice cook for about 15 minutes in the open pot.
  6. 6. Wash the carrots and peel them.
  7. 7. Slice the carrots into rounds.
  8. 8. Quarter the bell pepper.
  9. 9. Remove the core from the bell pepper.
  10. 10. Rinse the cored bell pepper.
  11. 11. Cut the bell pepper into thin strips.
  12. 12. Wash the zucchini and pat it dry.
  13. 13. Halve the zucchini lengthwise.
  14. 14. Slice the zucchini into thin rounds.
  15. 15. Clean the leek and wash it.
  16. 16. Slice the leek into thin rings.
  17. 17. Peel the onions.
  18. 18. Slice the onions into strips.
  19. 19. Peel the garlic.
  20. 20. Finely chop the garlic.
  21. 21. Peel the ginger.
  22. 22. Slice the ginger into strips.
  23. 23. Place a clean kitchen towel over the pot with the rice.
  24. 24. Place the lid on the pot.
  25. 25. Keep the heat on the lowest possible setting.
  26. 26. Let the rice finish cooking for 10 to 12 minutes.
  27. 27. Coarsely chop the peanuts with a large knife.
  28. 28. Whisk the eggs in a small bowl.
  29. 29. Add soy sauce and 2 tablespoons of water to the egg mixture.
  30. 30. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a wok or a frying pan.

  44. 44. Stir in the Sambal Oelek and peas.
  45. 45. Fold in the cooked vegetables and scrambled eggs.
  46. 46. Heat everything through thoroughly.
  47. 47. Season with salt and pepper.
  48. 48. Sprinkle the dish with the chopped peanuts.
  49. 49. Serve the Nasi Goreng.
