🍕 Vegetarian Pizza Rolls

Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 150 g corn (can)
- 1 red bell pepper
- 150 g mushrooms
- 100 g cocktail tomatoes
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 100 g whipping cream
- 200 g sour cream
- salt
- pepper
- 0.5 tsp dried oregano
- 0.5 tsp dried basil
- 150 g medium Gouda
- 4 whole grain rolls
- 3 sprigs basil
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onion and dice it into small cubes.
- 2. Drain the corn in a sieve.
- 3. Wash the bell pepper, cut it in half lengthwise, remove the seeds and white membrane, and finely dice the flesh.
- 4. Clean the mushrooms and slice them thinly.
- 5. Wash the tomatoes, dry them, and cut them into quarters.
- 6. Whisk the tomato paste, whipping cream, and crème fraîche in a bowl until smooth.
- 7. Season the sauce with salt, pepper, oregano, and basil.
- 8. Grate the cheese.
- 9. Take about half of the cheese and add it to the cream mixture along with the prepared vegetables.
- 10. Mix everything well together.
- 11. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- 12. Slice the rolls in half lengthwise.
- 13. Place the roll halves on the baking tray.
- 14. Spread the vegetable-cream mixture generously over the rolls.
- 15. Sprinkle the remaining cheese evenly over the top.
- 16. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius conventional heat (180 degrees Celsius fan-forced or gas mark 3).
- 17. Bake the rolls for about 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
- 18. Meanwhile, wash the basil and shake it dry.
- 19. Pluck the leaves from the stems and chop them finely.
- 20. Sprinkle the fresh basil over the finished rolls.
