  1. 1. Peel the onions and cut them in half.
  2. 2. Cut the onion halves into thin strips.
  3. 3. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan.
  4. 4. Sauté the onion strips for 5 minutes over medium heat.
  5. 5. Add the honey and let it caramelize for 3 minutes.
  6. 6. Deglaze the pan with vinegar.
  7. 7. Season the mixture with thyme, salt, and pepper.
  8. 8. Remove the onions from the pan and set them aside.
  9. 9. Heat the remaining rapeseed oil in the same pan.
  10. 10. Fry the vegetarian bratwursts on all sides for 5 to 7 minutes until golden brown.
  11. 11. Clean the corn salad and wash it thoroughly.
  12. 12. Shake the salad dry.
  13. 13. Cut the buns in half, but do not cut all the way through.
  14. 14. Fill the buns with corn salad.
  15. 15. Place the bratwursts in the buns.
  16. 16. Add the caramelized onions on top.
  17. 17. Drizzle some mustard over the sandwich.
