🍽️ Vegan Horseradish Spread with Apple on Bread

Ingredients
- 1 small onion
- 1 tbsp rapeseed oil
- 200 g tofu
- 2 tart apples
- salt
- 1 tsp freshly grated horseradish
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 4 slices pumpernickel
- 2 tbsp freshly chopped parsley
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onion and chop it finely.
- 2. Heat oil in a frying pan.
- 3. Sauté the onions until translucent.
- 4. Cut the tofu into small cubes.
- 5. Peel the apple and remove the core.
- 6. Cut the apple into small pieces as well.
- 7. Add the tofu and apple to the onions in the pan.
- 8. Cook the mixture for about 5 minutes until soft.
- 9. Wait until the ingredients lose their color.
- 10. Transfer everything into a blender.
- 11. Blend the mixture until smooth.
- 12. Season with salt and horseradish.
- 13. Let the spread cool down.
- 14. Wash the remaining apple.
- 15. Cut the apple into cubes.
- 16. Drizzle the apple cubes with lemon juice.
- 17. Spread the mixture onto the bread slices.
- 18. Top the bread slices with the apple cubes.
- 19. Garnish with parsley.
- 20. Serve the bread.
