🥗 Vegan Caesar Salad

Ingredients
- 1 Romaine lettuce
- 4 slices stale white bread
- 2 tbsp white wine vinegar
- salt
- pepper
- 6 tbsp olive oil (cold-pressed)
Instructions
- 1. Wash the salad thoroughly.
- 2. Shake the salad dry.
- 3. Let the salad drain.
- 4. Cut the bread into small cubes.
- 5. Heat some oil in a pan.
- 6. Toast the bread cubes until golden brown over medium heat.
- 7. Season the croutons with salt and pepper.
- 8. Remove the pan from the heat.
- 9. Let the croutons cool down.
- 10. Put vinegar, salt, and pepper into a sealable jar.
- 11. Add oil to the jar.
- 12. Shake the jar vigorously.
- 13. Wait until the vinaigrette (a sauce made of oil and vinegar) has emulsified.
- 14. Toss the salad with the vinaigrette shortly before serving.
- 15. Sprinkle the cooled croutons over the salad.
