  1. 1. Mix flour, yeast, raw cane sugar, vanilla powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  2. 2. Add margarine in small pieces and plant-based drink to the dough.
  3. 3. Knead everything into a smooth dough.
  4. 4. Let the yeast dough rise for 60 minutes in a warm place.
  5. 5. Place the dough in the refrigerator for another 30 to 60 minutes.
  6. 6. Take the dough out of the refrigerator.
  7. 7. Work on a floured surface and roll the dough out to about 1 cm thick.
  8. 8. Cut out 18 circles using a glass (approx. 7 cm diameter).
  9. 9. Cut a hole in the center of each circle using a smaller glass (approx. 3 cm diameter).
  10. 10. Let the donuts rise covered for 30 to 60 minutes in a warm place.
  11. 11. Heat oil in a wide pot.
  12. 12. Check the temperature by holding a wooden spoon handle in the oil; bubbles should rise.
  13. 13. Fry the donuts in batches in the hot oil.
  14. 14. Let the donuts cool on a wire rack.
  15. 15. Sift powdered sugar into a bowl.
  16. 16. Add lemon juice drop by drop and stir into a thin glaze.
  17. 17. Brush the donuts thinly with the sugar glaze.
  18. 18. Let the glaze set on the wire rack.
