🍰 Crunchy Vanilla Crescents

Ingredients
- 250 g flour
- 100 g sugar
- 2 vanilla pods
- 200 g butter
- 100 g peeled almond kernels
- powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- 1. Slice the vanilla pods lengthwise.
- 2. Scrape the vanilla seeds out of the pods.
- 3. Mix the vanilla seeds with the sugar.
- 4. Add the flour, soft butter, 70 grams of vanilla sugar, and the almonds to a bowl.
- 5. Knead the ingredients quickly into a smooth dough.
- 6. Shape the dough into a ball.
- 7. Wrap the dough ball in cling film.
- 8. Place the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- 9. Shape the chilled dough into a long roll.
- 10. Cut the roll into 2-centimeter thick pieces.
- 11. Shape each piece into a small crescent or horseshoe shape.
- 12. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 13. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees.
- 14. Bake the cookies for 10 minutes.
- 15. Carefully loosen the warm cookies from the baking sheet.
- 16. Roll the cookies while still warm in the remaining sugar.
