🍽️ Vanilla Chocolate Crescents

Ingredients
- 100 g dark chocolate
- 140 g wheat flour Type 1050
- 110 g butter
- 100 g ground hazelnuts
- 1 pinch vanilla powder
- 30 g raw cane sugar
- 1 egg yolk
Instructions
- 1. Grate the chocolate finely.
- 2. Put the flour into a bowl.
- 3. Cut the butter into small pieces.
- 4. Thoroughly mix the butter with the nuts, 50 grams of the grated chocolate, vanilla powder, sugar, and the egg yolk using the dough hook.
- 5. Then work the mixture with your hands into a smooth dough.
- 6. Shape the dough into a ball.
- 7. Wrap the dough ball in a damp kitchen towel.
- 8. Place the dough ball in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
- 9. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- 10. Take the dough out of the refrigerator.
- 11. Shape the dough into two rolls.
- 12. Cut 1-centimeter-thick slices from the dough rolls.
- 13. Shape each slice into a small crescent between your hands.
- 14. Place the crescents on the prepared baking tray.
- 15. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (convection 160 degrees or gas level 2 to 3).
- 16. Bake the crescents in the preheated oven for about 12 to 15 minutes.
- 17. Let the crescents cool down.
- 18. Heat the remaining chocolate in a double boiler.
- 19. Roll a small bag out of baking paper.
- 20. Cut a small hole at the bottom end of the bag.
- 21. Fill the melted chocolate into the bag.
- 22. Decorate the cooled crescents with the chocolate from the bag.
