🍽️ Baked beef steak with peppers and onions

Ingredients
- 2 Onions
- 3 Bell Peppers (red, yellow and green)
- 3 tbsp Vegetable Oil
- Salt
- Pepper (from the mill)
- 4 Beef Filet Steaks (from the rump, approx. 180-200 g each)
- 200 g grated Emmental cheese
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees top and bottom heat.
- 2. Peel the onions and slice them into rings.
- 3. Wash the peppers, halve them, remove the core and the white inner membranes.
- 4. Cut the peppers into thin strips.
- 5. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a coated pan.
- 6. Sauté the onion rings in the hot oil.
- 7. Add the pepper strips to the pan.
- 8. Stew the vegetables together for 3 to 5 minutes.
- 9. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
- 10. Remove the vegetables from the pan and set aside.
- 11. Heat the remaining oil in the same pan.
- 12. Fry the meat well on all sides.
- 13. Sprinkle the meat pieces with three quarters of the amount of cheese.
- 14. Distribute the stewed vegetable mixture evenly over the meat.
- 15. Sprinkle everything with the remaining cheese.
- 16. Lightly pepper the surface.
- 17. Place the pan in the oven and bake the dish for about 10 minutes.
- 18. Serve the dish with potato wedges or french fries as desired.
