  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
  2. 2. Wash the radicchio and cut it into eight equal wedges.
  3. 3. Remove the hard white stems at the base of the leaves.
  4. 4. Bring a pot of water with some salt to a boil.
  5. 5. Place the radicchio wedges in the boiling water for 1 to 2 minutes.
  6. 6. Remove the radicchio and let it drain well.
  7. 7. Wash the pears and cut them into quarters.
  8. 8. Remove the core from the pear quarters.
  9. 9. Cut the pear flesh into thin slices.
  10. 10. Cut the blue cheese into small cubes.
  11. 11. Grease a baking dish with some oil or butter.
  12. 12. Place the drained radicchio in the prepared dish.
  13. 13. Season the radicchio with salt and pepper to taste.
  14. 14. Distribute the pear slices evenly over the radicchio.
  15. 15. Drizzle some oil over the vegetables and fruit.
  16. 16. Sprinkle the blue cheese cubes over the top.
  17. 17. Place the baking dish in the oven for about 15 minutes.
  18. 18. Remove the dish from the oven as soon as the cheese is melted and golden brown.
  19. 19. Serve the dish immediately while warm.
