  1. 1. Turn on the grill function of your oven and preheat it.
  2. 2. Carefully open the oysters.
  3. 3. Sprinkle sea salt onto a baking sheet.
  4. 4. Place the oysters on the salted tray.
  5. 5. Cut off the hard crust from the white bread.
  6. 6. Break the bread into coarse crumbs.
  7. 7. Put the bread pieces and the herbs into a blender.
  8. 8. Grind the mixture into a fine powder.
  9. 9. Melt the butter in a saucepan.
  10. 10. Mix the melted butter with the bread-herb mixture.
  11. 11. Season the butter with salt and pepper.
  12. 12. If the mixture seems too dry, stir in a little more soft butter.
  13. 13. Distribute the herb butter evenly over the oysters.
  14. 14. Place the tray in the preheated oven under the grill.
  15. 15. Gratin the oysters for 3 to 4 minutes until they are golden brown.
