🍽️ Crispy Asparagus Tramezzini

Ingredients
- 9 stalks green asparagus
- salt
- 6 slices tramezzino bread
- 100 g crème fraîche
- 200 g grated cheese (e.g. Emmental)
Instructions
- 1. Peel the bottom third of the asparagus stalks.
- 2. Bring salted water to a boil and cook the asparagus in it for about 8 minutes until almost tender.
- 3. Immediately shock the asparagus with cold water to keep its color.
- 4. Drain the water and cut the stalks in half crosswise.
- 5. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees using the top and bottom heat setting.
- 6. Divide the tramezzini breads into three equal parts each.
- 7. Spread a thin layer of crème fraîche onto the bread slices.
- 8. Sprinkle about two-thirds of the cheese amount over the bread.
- 9. Place a piece of asparagus on each slice.
- 10. Roll the breads up tightly.
- 11. Press the edges of the roll firmly so they do not open.
- 12. Place the roll seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 13. Sprinkle the top with the remaining cheese.
- 14. Bake the tramezzini for about 10 minutes in the oven until crispy and golden brown.
- 15. Take the buns out of the oven.
- 16. Let them cool on a wire rack.
- 17. Serve the tramezzini still lukewarm or completely cooled.
