🍳 Flat Sandwiches with Grilled Peppers

Ingredients
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 yellow bell pepper
- a few drops olive oil
- salt
- pepper from the mill
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 1 bunch basil
- 8 slices sandwich bread
- 100 g processed cheese tomato pepper (reduced calorie)
- 100 g salami (in thin slices)
Instructions
- 1. Wash the peppers and cut them into quarters.
- 2. Remove the seeds and white inner membranes from the pepper pieces.
- 3. Rinse the peppers under running water.
- 4. Peel the pepper skin using a vegetable peeler.
- 5. Rub a grill pan with a little olive oil.
- 6. Heat the grill pan on the stovetop.
- 7. Place the pepper pieces into the hot pan.
- 8. Grill the peppers for 1 to 2 minutes on both sides.
- 9. Press the pepper pieces down slightly with a spatula while grilling.
- 10. Season the grilled peppers with salt and pepper.
- 11. Rinse the lettuce leaves briefly under cold water.
- 12. Dry the lettuce leaves carefully with kitchen paper.
- 13. Gently pluck the basil leaves from the stems.
- 14. Cut off the crusts from the toast bread slices.
- 15. Flatten the toast slices by rolling over them with a rolling pin.
- 16. Spread the flat bread slices thinly with processed cheese.
- 17. Place a portion of lettuce on four bread slices.
- 18. Distribute the grilled peppers over the lettuce.
- 19. Place the basil leaves on top of the peppers.
- 20. Distribute the salami on the topped bread slices.
- 21. Cover the topped slices with the remaining bread slices.
- 22. Press the sandwiches together lightly.
- 23. Cut the sandwiches diagonally in half.
