🍽️ Vegetable Tortilla on Skewers

Ingredients
- 400 g cooked potatoes
- 1 kohlrabi
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 2 garlic cloves
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp thyme leaves
- 8 eggs
- 100 ml milk
- 0.5 tsp curry powder
- 0.5 tsp paprika powder
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- nutmeg
Instructions
- 1. Peel the kohlrabi.
- 2. Cut the peeled kohlrabi into sticks.
- 3. Wash the bell peppers thoroughly.
- 4. Remove the hard tip and the stem base of the bell peppers.
- 5. Halve the bell peppers.
- 6. Remove the seeds and white pith from the inside.
- 7. Cut the pepper flesh into small cubes.
- 8. Slice the potatoes into thin rounds.
- 9. Peel the onion.
- 10. Finely chop the onion.
- 11. Heat olive oil in a pan.
- 12. Sauté the chopped onion in the hot oil.
- 13. Add the kohlrabi sticks to the onion.
- 14. Add the pepper cubes to the pan.
- 15. Fry the vegetables for a few minutes.
- 16. Add the potato slices to the pan.
- 17. Press the garlic through a press.
- 18. Add the pressed garlic to the pan.
- 19. Add fresh thyme leaves to the pan.
- 20. Sauté everything briefly together.
- 21. Season the vegetable mixture with salt.
- 22. Grease a baking dish with a little oil or butter.
- 23. Transfer the warm vegetable mixture into the prepared dish.
- 24. Whisk the milk and eggs in a separate bowl.
- 25. Season the egg and milk mixture to taste.
- 26. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the vegetables in the dish.
- 27. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- 28. Place the dish in the hot oven.
- 29. Bake the tortilla for about 35 minutes.
- 30. Check if the mixture has set firmly.
- 31. Check if the surface is lightly browned.
- 32. Remove the dish from the oven.
- 33. Cut the cooled tortilla into cubes.
- 34. Insert a wooden skewer into each cube as desired.
- 35. Serve the tapas immediately.
