🍰 Tortellini with Chicken in Tomato-Zucchini Sauce

Ingredients
- 250 g fresh tortellini with cheese filling (refrigerated section)
- 2 chicken breast fillets
- 0.5 can pizza tomatoes
- 0.5 tsp sugar
- 1 zucchini
- 1 tbsp oil
- salt
- pepper
- 0.5 tsp oregano
- 60 g Emmental (grated)
- 2 leaves basil
Instructions
- 1. Wash the chicken breast fillets and cut them into strips about half a centimeter thick.
- 2. Season the meat strips with salt and pepper.
- 3. Wash the zucchini thoroughly.
- 4. Cut the zucchini in half lengthwise.
- 5. Slice the halves into thin rounds.
- 6. Heat the cooking fat in a large frying pan.
- 7. Fry the chicken strips in the pan until well browned.
- 8. Add the zucchini slices to the pan.
- 9. Cook the vegetables for two minutes.
- 10. Deglaze the meat with the pizza tomatoes.
- 11. Let the sauce come to a brief boil.
- 12. Season the sauce with salt, pepper, a pinch of sugar, and oregano.
- 13. Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
- 14. Let the sauce simmer on low heat.
- 15. Bring plenty of water to a boil in a pot and add salt.
- 16. Cook the tortellini in the salted water according to the package instructions.
- 17. Add the drained tortellini directly to the sauce in the pan.
- 18. Mix the pasta thoroughly with the sauce.
- 19. Portion the tortellini onto two plates.
- 20. Sprinkle grated cheese over the portions.
- 21. Garnish the dish with fresh basil leaves.
- 22. Serve the tortellini hot immediately.
