🍽️ Schnitzel with Fresh Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
- 4 Schnitzel (pork)
- 1 onion
- 1 garlic clove
- salt
- pepper
- 2 tbsp oil
- 400 g chunky tomatoes
- 50 g black olives (pitted)
- 1 tbsp capers
- 1 bunch basil
- 1 pinch sugar
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onion and the garlic clove.
- 2. Cut the onion and garlic into very small cubes.
- 3. Season the schnitzel with salt and pepper.
- 4. Heat oil in a frying pan.
- 5. Fry the schnitzel on each side for 2 to 3 minutes at medium heat until golden brown.
- 6. Remove the schnitzel from the pan and keep them warm.
- 7. Sauté the diced onion and garlic in the same pan.
- 8. Add the tomatoes.
- 9. Let the sauce simmer gently for 5 minutes.
- 10. Season the sauce with salt and pepper.
- 11. Stir in the olives and capers.
- 12. Let the ingredients steep for another 5 minutes.
- 13. Adjust the taste of the sauce with a little sugar.
- 14. Mix roughly torn basil leaves into the finished sauce.
