🍽️ Fresh Tomato Chili Salsa

Ingredients
- Salsa sauce
- 500 g tomatoes
- 1 red chili pepper
- 1 onion
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
Instructions
- 1. Pour boiling water over the tomatoes for a few seconds.
- 2. Peel the skin off the tomatoes.
- 3. Cut the tomatoes into quarters.
- 4. Remove the seeds from the tomatoes.
- 5. Dice the tomato flesh into small cubes.
- 6. Cut the chili pepper in half lengthwise.
- 7. Remove the seeds from the chili pepper.
- 8. Rinse the deseeded chili pepper.
- 9. Dice the chili pepper into fine cubes.
- 10. Peel the onion.
- 11. Finely chop the onion.
- 12. Heat oil in a pot.
- 13. Add the chopped onion and chili cubes to the hot oil.
- 14. Sauté the vegetables briefly.
- 15. Press the garlic directly into the pot.
- 16. Sauté the garlic briefly as well.
- 17. Stir the tomato paste into the mixture.
- 18. Add the diced tomatoes.
- 19. Cover the pot.
- 20. Let the salsa simmer for 15 minutes.
- 21. Season the salsa with salt.
- 22. Season the salsa with pepper.
