  2. 2. Shake the leaves dry.
  3. 3. Carefully pluck the leaves from the stems.
  4. 4. Cut the basil leaves into thin strips.
  5. 5. Peel the shallots and remove the outer layers.
  6. 6. Dice the shallots very finely.
  7. 7. Wash both types of tomatoes thoroughly.
  8. 8. Cut the larger tomatoes into halves or quarters.
  9. 9. Heat the oil in a pan.
  10. 10. Add the diced shallots to the hot oil.
  11. 11. Sauté the shallots until they are soft and translucent.
  12. 12. Add the prepared tomatoes to the pan.
  13. 13. Toss the tomatoes briefly in the oil.
  14. 14. Deglaze the pan with the white wine.
  15. 15. Add the balsamic vinegar.
  16. 16. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
  17. 17. Sprinkle the cut basil leaves over the salad.
  18. 18. Gently mix everything together.
  19. 19. Transfer the warm salad into a serving bowl.
  20. 20. Serve the salad lukewarm or after it has cooled down.
