🍽️ Classic Tomato Pizza

Ingredients
- 1 roll pizza dough (from the refrigerated section)
- 125 g tomato puree
- salt
- pepper
- cayenne pepper
- 200 g cherry tomatoes (green and yellow mixed)
- 30 g parmesan (grated)
- 80 g emmental (grated)
- 4 sprigs basil
Instructions
- 1. Carefully unroll the dough from its protective film.
- 2. Cut two round circles, each 18 centimeters in diameter, from the dough.
- 3. Place the dough circles on a baking tray together with the baking paper.
- 4. Gently press the edges of the dough circles upwards to form a small rim.
- 5. Let the puréed tomatoes simmer in a pot for a short time to reduce.
- 6. Season the tomato sauce with salt, pepper, and a pinch of cayenne pepper.
- 7. Spread the seasoned sauce evenly over both dough bases.
- 8. Pierce the cherry tomatoes lightly with a wooden skewer.
- 9. Distribute the cherry tomatoes evenly over the sauce.
- 10. Season the tomatoes as well with a little salt and pepper.
- 11. Mix the grated Parmesan with the grated Emmental cheese.
- 12. Sprinkle the cheese mixture generously over the pizzas.
- 13. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees.
- 14. Slide the pizzas onto the lowest rack into the hot oven.
- 15. Bake the pizzas for 15 to 20 minutes.
- 16. Lay fresh basil leaves over the finished pizzas.
- 17. Serve the pizzas immediately while hot.
