Ingredients
- 500 g tomatoes (red)
- 500 g tomatoes (yellow)
- 4 oranges (organic)
- 1 lemon (organic; juice and grated zest)
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 pinch ground clove
- 500 g jam sugar (3:1)
Instructions
- 1. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly.
- 2. Cut a cross into the stem end of the tomatoes.
- 3. Blanch the tomatoes briefly in boiling water.
- 4. Peel the skin off the tomatoes.
- 5. Halve the tomatoes and remove the insides along with the seeds.
- 6. Cut the remaining flesh into small cubes.
- 7. Wash the oranges.
- 8. Take one orange, remove the seeds, and slice it into thin rounds.
- 9. Squeeze the juice from the remaining oranges.
- 10. Wash the lemon.
- 11. Finely grate the lemon zest.
- 12. Squeeze the juice from the lemon.
- 13. Place all prepared ingredients into a large pot.
- 14. Let the mixture sit covered for one hour.
- 15. Heat the mixture over high heat while stirring constantly.
- 16. Let the mixture boil vigorously for four to six minutes.
- 17. Perform a gel test to check the consistency.
- 18. Fill the jam to the brim into well-rinsed jars.
- 19. Seal the jars tightly.
- 20. Let the jam cool down overnight.
