  2. 2. Cut out the hard stem areas from the tomatoes in a wedge shape.
  3. 3. Halve the tomatoes horizontally in the middle.
  4. 4. Cut the round bottom sides of the tomato halves flat so they stand stably.
  5. 5. Rinse the chives and shake them dry.
  6. 6. Cut two-thirds of the chives into fine rings.
  7. 7. Mix the chive rings with the poppy seeds on a plate.
  8. 8. Stir the layered cheese smooth with a pinch of salt.
  9. 9. Form ten small cheese dumplings from the mixture using a teaspoon.
  10. 10. Roll the cheese dumplings in the poppy seed and chive mixture.
  11. 11. Pepper the tomato halves to taste.
  12. 12. Place one cheese dumpling on each tomato half.
  13. 13. Secure the cheese dumplings in the tomatoes with toothpicks.
  14. 14. Garnish the bites with the remaining chive stems as desired.
  15. 15. Serve the tomato bites immediately.
