  8. 8. Season the mixture with salt, pepper, and sugar.
  9. 9. Simmer the broth over medium heat for about 40 minutes.
  10. 10. Line a sieve with a piece of cheesecloth.
  11. 11. Pour the soup through the lined sieve.
  12. 12. Do not squeeze the tomato residues in the cloth.
  13. 13. Remove the remaining liquid gently to keep the broth clear.
  14. 14. Wash the cherry tomatoes.
  15. 15. Split the vanilla pod in half lengthwise.
  16. 16. Cut the vanilla pod into thin strips.
  17. 17. Insert one vanilla strip into each cherry tomato.
  18. 18. Warm the broth in a clean pot.
  19. 19. Let the stuffed tomatoes steep briefly in the warm broth.
