  8. 8. Peel the garlic.
  9. 9. Slice the shallots into thin rings.
  10. 10. Finely chop the garlic.
  11. 11. Heat olive oil in a pot.
  12. 12. Add the shallots and garlic to the hot oil.
  13. 13. Sauté the vegetables for about five minutes until translucent.
