🍽️ Oven-Baked Tomatoes with Sheep's Cheese

Ingredients
- 800 g tomatoes (Roma tomatoes)
- 300 g feta cheese
- 4 sprigs fresh oregano
- 6 sprigs fresh thyme
- 2 shallots
- 2 garlic cloves
- 5 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- salt
- pepper from the mill
Instructions
- 1. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly.
- 2. Cut the tomatoes in half.
- 3. Remove the hard stem ends from the tomatoes.
- 4. Slice the tomato halves into even slices.
- 5. Slice the sheep's cheese as well.
- 6. Wash the fresh herbs under running water.
- 7. Shake the herbs dry.
- 8. Pluck the small leaves from the stems.
- 9. Chop the herbs finely.
- 10. Peel the shallots.
- 11. Peel the garlic cloves.
- 12. Chop the shallots finely.
- 13. Chop the garlic finely.
- 14. Put four tablespoons of oil into a small bowl.
- 15. Add the lime juice.
- 16. Add the chopped herbs.
- 17. Add the chopped shallots.
- 18. Add the chopped garlic.
- 19. Stir the marinade ingredients well.
- 20. Season the marinade generously with salt.

- 22. Preheat the oven.
- 23. Set the oven temperature to 200 degrees Celsius.
- 24. Take a baking dish.
- 25. Take the remaining oil.
- 26. Brush the baking dish with the oil.
- 27. Arrange the cheese slices in a fan shape in the dish.
- 28. Arrange the tomato slices in a fan shape on top.
- 29. Drizzle the layers with the herb marinade.
- 30. Put the baking dish into the preheated oven.
- 31. Bake the dish for about 15 minutes.
- 32. Take the baking dish out of the oven.
- 33. Serve the dish warm.
