  1. 1. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly and remove the stem ends. Then slice the tomatoes. Drain the mozzarella and slice it as well.
  2. 2. Arrange the tomato and mozzarella slices alternately on four large plates so they overlap. Season with a little salt and pepper and drizzle the oil evenly over them.
  3. 3. Pluck the basil leaves and gently pat them dry with kitchen paper without washing them. Garnish the salad with them and serve immediately.
