🍕 Homemade Tomato Mozzarella Pizza from the Tray

Ingredients
- 400 g flour
- salt
- 1 cube yeast (42 g)
- 1 tsp honey
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- oil (for greasing)
- 4 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp oregano
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 200 g mozzarella
- 400 g tomatoes
- 2 garlic cloves
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- basil
Instructions
- 1. Put the flour and one teaspoon of salt into a large bowl.
- 2. Press a well into the center of the flour mixture using a spoon or your hand.
- 3. Crumble the yeast into this well.
- 4. Dissolve the yeast with the sugar and 100 milliliters of lukewarm water.
- 5. Sprinkle some flour over the liquid to cover it.
- 6. Let the pre-dough rise in a warm place for 15 minutes.
- 7. Add the remaining flour, the pre-dough, 125 milliliters of lukewarm water, and the olive oil to the bowl.
- 8. Knead the ingredients vigorously into a dough.
- 9. Continue working the dough on a lightly floured surface until it is elastic and smooth.
- 10. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 45 minutes.
- 11. Grease a baking tray generously with oil.
- 12. Roll out the dough on the tray into a pizza shape.
- 13. Mix the tomato paste with oregano, two tablespoons of oil, and four tablespoons of water to make a sauce.
- 14. Spread the sauce evenly over the pizza base.
- 15. Halve the mozzarella and slice it.
- 16. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly.
- 17. Slice the tomatoes crosswise into thin slices.
- 18. Peel the garlic and dice it finely.
- 19. Distribute the mozzarella slices, tomato slices, and garlic evenly over the pizza.
- 20. Season the pizza generously with salt and pepper.
- 21. Drizzle the remaining olive oil over the toppings.
- 22. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees.
- 23. Place the pizza in the center of the oven and bake it for about 20 minutes.
- 24. Pluck the basil leaves from the stems.
- 25. Chop the basil leaves finely.
- 26. Sprinkle the chopped basil over the finished pizza.
