🥗 Fresh Tomato and Caper Salad with Herbs

Ingredients
- 1 kg cherry tomatoes (red and yellow)
- 1 handful basil
- 2 sprigs rosemary
- 5 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp white balsamic vinegar
- 1 pinch sugar
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 60 g caper berries
Instructions
- 1. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly under running water.
- 2. Cut half of the tomatoes into thick slices or quarters.
- 3. Pluck the fresh basil and rosemary leaves from the stems.
- 4. Chop the herbs roughly or finely according to your preference.
- 5. Whisk the oil and balsamic vinegar together in a small bowl.
- 6. Season the dressing mixture with sugar, salt, and pepper.
- 7. Add the tomato pieces, caper jars, and chopped herbs to a large bowl.
- 8. Pour the dressing over the ingredients and mix everything well.
- 9. Taste the salad one last time to adjust the seasoning.
- 10. Serve the salad immediately on plates.
- 11. Serve white bread on the side if you like.
