🍽️ Fresh Salad with Tomato, Mozzarella, and Orange

Ingredients
- 100 g lettuce leaves
- 1 beefsteak tomato
- 1 blood orange
- 1 ball mozzarella (approx. 125 g)
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
Instructions
- 1. Thoroughly wash the leaf salads under running water.
- 2. Remove any wilted or damaged leaves from the salad.
- 3. Spin the salad dry, for example in a salad spinner.
- 4. Tear the salad leaves into bite-sized pieces.
- 5. Rinse the tomato under running water.
- 6. Slice the tomato into even slices.
- 7. Peel the orange using a sharp knife.
- 8. Remove the white pith and bitter layer underneath completely.
- 9. Slice the peeled orange crosswise into thin slices.
- 10. Catch the released orange juice in a small bowl.
- 11. Let the mozzarella drain well.
- 12. Slice the mozzarella.
- 13. Arrange the mozzarella, tomato, and orange slices in an overlapping shingle pattern on two plates.
- 14. Distribute the prepared salad over the slices.
- 15. Whisk the oil with the vinegar, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
- 16. Drizzle the dressing mixture over the finished salad.
