🍽️ Fresh Tomato Mozzarella Salad

Ingredients
- 1 kg mixed colorful tomatoes (yellow and red, small and large)
- 250 g mozzarella
- 1 handful basil
- 4 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 6 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp freshly chopped oregano
- salt
- chili flakes
- 1 pinch sugar
Instructions
- 1. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly under running water.
- 2. Remove the hard stem ends from the tomatoes.
- 3. Slice, cube, or wedge the tomatoes however you prefer.
- 4. Arrange the tomato pieces on your serving plates.
- 5. Take the mozzarella out of the package and let it drain well.
- 6. Crumble the mozzarella into small, irregular pieces using your hands.
- 7. Distribute the mozzarella pieces evenly over the tomatoes.
- 8. Pluck the fresh basil leaves from the stems.
- 9. Tear the basil leaves into rough, smaller pieces.
- 10. Sprinkle the chopped basil leaves over the entire salad.
- 11. Pour the balsamic vinegar into a small bowl.
- 12. Add the oil to the vinegar.
- 13. Sprinkle the dried oregano over the liquid.
- 14. Add a pinch of salt.
- 15. Add a pinch of chili flakes or ground chili.
- 16. Add a small spoonful of sugar.
- 17. Whisk all the dressing ingredients vigorously with a fork or spoon.
- 18. Taste the dressing and adjust the seasoning as needed.
- 19. Drizzle the finished dressing evenly over the salad.
- 20. Serve the salad immediately while fresh.
