  1. 1. Pour some hot water over the dried tomatoes.
  2. 2. Let the tomatoes soak in the water for 10 minutes.
  3. 3. Drain the water and let the tomatoes drip dry.
  4. 4. Cut the dried tomatoes into small pieces.
  5. 5. Pour the chickpeas into a sieve.
  6. 6. Rinse the chickpeas thoroughly with cold water.
  7. 7. Add the chickpeas, the chopped tomatoes, the oil, the tahini, 120 milliliters of water, the lemon juice, the cumin, and the salt to the blender.
  8. 8. Blend the ingredients in the blender until a fine, smooth mixture forms.
  9. 9. Wash the fresh basil under running water.
  10. 10. Shake the basil dry so that no water droplets remain on it.
  11. 11. Chop the basil finely.
  12. 12. Fold the chopped basil into the pureed hummus.
  13. 13. Fill the finished hummus into a serving bowl.
  14. 14. Serve the hummus immediately.
