  1. 1. Cut the tofu into about two large cubes.
  2. 2. Place the tofu cubes into a bowl.
  3. 3. Mix soy sauce, vinegar, honey, ginger, and cumin in a small bowl.
  4. 4. Pour the marinade evenly over the tofu.
  5. 5. Thoroughly wash the bell peppers.
  6. 6. Cut the bell peppers in half lengthwise.
  7. 7. Remove the seeds and white inner membranes from the bell peppers.
  8. 8. Cut half of the bell peppers crosswise into thin strips.
  9. 9. Set the pepper strips aside.
  10. 10. Dice the remaining part of the bell peppers.
  11. 11. Wash the chili pepper.
  12. 12. Slit the chili pepper lengthwise.
  13. 13. Remove the seeds from the chili pepper.
  14. 14. Finely dice the chili pepper.
  15. 15. Wash the tomatoes.
  16. 16. Cut the tomatoes into quarters.
  17. 17. Remove the seeds from the tomato quarters.
  18. 18. Dice the deseeded tomatoes into small pieces.
  19. 19. Peel the onions.
  20. 20. Peel the garlic.
  21. 21. Finely chop the onions and garlic.
  22. 22. Heat two tablespoons of olive oil in a pot.
  23. 23. Sauté the onions and garlic in the oil until translucent.
  24. 24. Add the diced bell pepper, tomatoes, and chili to the pot.
  25. 25. Pour in one cup of water.
  26. 26. Place a lid on the pot.
  27. 27. Simmer the mixture on low heat for ten minutes until soft.
  28. 28. Puree the sauce with a hand blender.
  29. 29. Strain the sauce through a fine sieve.
  30. 30. Drain the tofu over a sieve.
  31. 31. Catch the drained marinade in a bowl.
  32. 32. Heat some olive oil in a frying pan.
  33. 33. Fry the tofu cubes and pepper strips in the pan.
  34. 34. Fry the ingredients for about five minutes.
  35. 35. Pour the prepared pepper sauce over the ingredients in the pan.
  36. 36. Also pour the collected tofu marinade into the pan.
  37. 37. Place a lid on the frying pan.
  38. 38. Let the sauce simmer for another five minutes.
  39. 39. Season the dish with salt and pepper to taste.
  40. 40. Warm up the serving plates.
  41. 41. Plate the tofu on the warmed plates.
  42. 42. Sprinkle the dish with fresh parsley.
  43. 43. Serve the dish immediately.
