🍝 Noodles with Tofu and Colorful Vegetables

Ingredients
- 400 g Chinese noodles
- 5 tbsp light soy sauce
- 200 g snow peas
- 3 garlic cloves
- 2 red chili peppers
- 150 g baby corn (from the can)
- 50 g bean sprouts
- 200 g tofu
- 6 tbsp vegetable oil
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 1 tsp five-spice powder
- 8 tbsp rice wine
- 2 tbsp spicy Chinese chili sauce (ready-made product)
Instructions
- 1. Thoroughly wash the snow peas.
- 2. Remove the tough ends and strings from the snow peas.
- 3. Cut the snow peas into thin strips.
- 4. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.
- 5. Add the snow pea strips to the boiling water for a short time (this is called blanching).
- 6. Remove the snow peas from the water immediately.
- 7. Place them in cold water to stop the cooking process (shocking).
- 8. Let the snow peas drain well.
- 9. Wash the chili peppers.
- 10. Cut the chili peppers in half lengthwise.
- 11. Remove the seeds and the white inner membrane from the chili peppers.
- 12. Slice the deseeded chili peppers into thin strips.
- 13. Peel the garlic cloves.
- 14. Dice the garlic into very small cubes.
- 15. Take the can of baby corn.
- 16. Drain the liquid from the can.
- 17. Cut the tofu into small cubes.
- 18. Place the wok on the stove.
- 19. Heat the wok and the oil inside it.
- 20. Add the snow peas, chili strips, corn, and garlic to the wok.
- 21. Stir the vegetables constantly.
- 22. Sauté the vegetables for about 3 minutes.
- 23. Season the mixture with salt.
- 24. Season the mixture with pepper.
- 25. Add five-spice powder.
- 26. Add soy sauce.
- 27. Add rice wine.
- 28. Add chili sauce.
- 29. Add the tofu cubes to the vegetables in the wok.
- 30. Heat the tofu together with the vegetables.
- 31. Get the noodles ready.
- 32. Break the noodles into shorter pieces if they are too long.
- 33. Bring water to a boil.
- 34. Add one teaspoon of soy sauce to the boiling water.
- 35. Cook the noodles according to the instructions on the package.
- 36. Remove the noodles from the water.
- 37. Let the noodles drain.
- 38. Take a plate.
- 39. Place the Chinese noodles on the plate.
- 40. Top the noodles with the vegetables and tofu.
