  1. 1. Thoroughly wash the unwaxed lemon under hot water.
  2. 2. Slice the washed lemon into thin rounds.
  3. 3. Squeeze the juice from the remaining lemon and the blood orange.
  4. 4. Reserve about 1 to 2 tablespoons of pulp from the juicing process.
  5. 5. Stir the citrus juice together with the reserved pulp and the bourbon whiskey.
  6. 6. Divide the liquid evenly among four teacups.
  7. 7. Add the lemon slices to the cups.
  8. 8. Place half a cinnamon stick into each cup.
  9. 9. Add two cloves to each cup.
  10. 10. Top up each cup with approximately 200 milliliters of hot water.
  11. 11. Sweeten the toddy to taste with honey.
  12. 12. Serve the drink immediately while hot.
