Ingredients
- 4 slices toast bread
- 30 g butter
- 4 slices pineapple (from the can)
- 4 slices cooked ham
- 4 slices Gouda
- 1 tbsp cocktail cherry
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius for conventional heating. If you use a fan oven, set it to 180 degrees Celsius. For gas ovens, set the knob to level 3.
- 2. Place a frying pan on the stove and set the heat to medium.
- 3. Place the bread slices into the hot pan.
- 4. Toast one side of the bread until it is lightly golden brown.
- 5. Remove the bread slices from the pan.
- 6. Spread butter evenly over the untoasted side of each bread slice.
- 7. Place a slice of ham on the buttered side.
- 8. Place a piece of pineapple on top of the ham.
- 9. Top the pineapple with cheese.
- 10. Place the topped breads onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 11. Place the baking sheet into the preheated oven.
- 12. Bake the toasts for about 14 minutes, until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
- 13. Carefully remove the baking sheet from the oven.
- 14. Place each Toast Hawaii onto its own plate.
- 15. Insert a cocktail cherry into the center of each toast as decoration.
