🍰 Classic Tiramisu

Ingredients
- 200 ml Espresso
- 40 ml Cognac
- 4 Egg yolks
- 80 g Sugar
- 0.5 Vanilla pod
- 500 g Mascarpone
- 3 sheets white gelatin
- 150 g Ladyfingers
- Cocoa powder (for dusting)
Instructions
- 1. Mix the espresso with the cognac.
- 2. Cut open the vanilla pod and add the seeds to the egg yolk and sugar mixture.
- 3. Whisk the egg yolks and sugar until creamy.
- 4. Let the gelatin soak in cold water.
- 5. Gently warm the soaked gelatin in a small saucepan.
- 6. Stir a portion of the mascarpone into the warm gelatin.
- 7. Stir the remaining mascarpone into the egg yolk and sugar mixture in portions.
- 8. Combine the gelatin-mascarpone mixture with the rest of the cream.
- 9. Line a large rectangular dish with half of the ladyfingers.
- 10. Drizzle half of the espresso over the biscuits.
- 11. Spread half of the mascarpone cream evenly over the biscuits.
- 12. Place the remaining ladyfingers on top.
- 13. Drizzle the second layer of biscuits with the remaining espresso.
- 14. Add the remaining mascarpone cream on top.
- 15. Cover the dish with cling film.
- 16. Let the tiramisu set in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
- 17. Generously dust the finished tiramisu with cocoa powder before serving.
