🍽️ Crispy Squid Skewers

Ingredients
- 600 g squid ready for cooking
- 5 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 1 tbsp freshly grated Parmesan
- 2 garlic cloves (finely chopped)
- 1 tbsp parsley (finely chopped)
- pepper (from the mill)
- salt
- 2 tomatoes (sliced into thin slices)
- juice of one lemon
- long wooden skewers
Instructions
- 1. Separate the tentacles from the squid body, but keep them connected at the base.
- 2. Cut the squid body into strips about 2 centimeters wide.
- 3. Fold the squid strips together like an accordion.
- 4. Thread the folded strips onto the wooden skewers.
- 5. Press the squid strips slightly so they sit firmly on the skewers.
- 6. Halve the tentacle pieces.
- 7. Thread the halved tentacles onto the skewers as well.
- 8. Mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic, parsley, pepper, and salt in a bowl.
- 9. Turn the squid skewers in the breadcrumb mixture.
- 10. Make sure the squid is completely covered with the breadcrumb coating.
- 11. Place the skewers on a baking sheet.
- 12. Arrange the tomato slices around the skewers.
- 13. Sprinkle the remaining breadcrumb mixture over the skewers and tomatoes.
- 14. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
- 15. Bake the skewers in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
- 16. Turn off the oven and activate the grill function.
- 17. Grill the skewers for 2 to 3 minutes.
- 18. Drizzle the finished skewers with lemon juice.
- 19. Serve the skewers immediately.
