🍽️ Tiger Prawns with Spring Onions and Chili

Ingredients
- 1 small onion
- 1 piece fresh ginger (approx. 2.5 cm)
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 red chili pepper
- 1 untreated lime
- 20 shrimp (deveined)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 0.25 tsp ground coriander
- 0.25 tsp ground turmeric
- 3 spring onions
- salt
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onion, the ginger, and the garlic.
- 2. Finely chop the onion, the ginger, and the garlic.
- 3. Wash the chili pepper.
- 4. Remove the stems and the inside of the chili.
- 5. Slice the chili into thin rings.
- 6. Wash the lime under hot water.
- 7. Dry the lime with a cloth.
- 8. Peel the lime peel into fine strips (zest).
- 9. Squeeze the juice out of the lime.
- 10. Wash the prawns.
- 11. Pat the prawns dry with a cloth.
- 12. Heat the oil in a pan.
- 13. Add the onion, the garlic, and the chili to the pan.
- 14. Sauté the ingredients for about 3 minutes.
- 15. Add the coriander, the turmeric powder, and the lime zest.
- 16. Fry the ingredients briefly.
- 17. Add 2 tablespoons of water.
- 18. Add the prawns to the pan.
- 19. Fry the prawns for about 2 minutes.
- 20. Wash the spring onions.
- 21. Remove the hard ends of the spring onions.
- 22. Slice the spring onions into rings.
- 23. Add the spring onion rings to the prawns.
- 24. Add the lime juice to the prawns.
- 25. Season the dish with salt.
- 26. Plate the prawns.
- 27. Serve lime wedges and rice alongside.
