🍽️ Grilled tuna steak with warm pear chutney

Ingredients
- 2 pears
- 1 onion
- 1 garlic clove
- olive oil
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 75 ml dry white wine
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp freshly chopped herbs (e.g. thyme and sage)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- salt
- cayenne pepper
- 4 tuna steaks (approx. 180 g each)
- olive oil
- pepper (freshly ground)
Instructions
- 1. Peel the pears and remove the cores.
- 2. Cut the pears into small cubes.
- 3. Peel the onion and the garlic.
- 4. Finely dice the onion and the garlic.
- 5. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan.
- 6. Cook the onions and garlic in the hot oil until they are translucent.
- 7. Sprinkle the sugar over the vegetables.
- 8. Let the sugar caramelize slightly.
- 9. Deglaze the pan with the wine.
- 10. Add the pear cubes and the vinegar to the pan.
- 11. Let the mixture simmer quietly for about 3 minutes.
- 12. Remove the pan from the heat.
- 13. Add the fresh herbs.
- 14. Season the salsa with lemon juice, salt, and cayenne pepper.
- 15. Let the salsa cool down to lukewarm.
- 16. Preheat the oven to the grill function.
- 17. Wash the tuna steak.
- 18. Pat the tuna dry with kitchen paper.
- 19. Brush the tuna with oil.
- 20. Place the tuna under the grill.
- 21. Grill the tuna for 4 to 8 minutes.
- 22. Turn the tuna occasionally.
- 23. Season the tuna with salt and pepper at the end.
- 24. Serve the tuna with the pear salsa.
