  1. 1. Season the tuna steaks generously with salt and pepper.
  2. 2. Pour the juice of two lemons and four tablespoons of olive oil over the steaks.
  3. 3. Let the steaks marinate for one hour to absorb the flavors.
  4. 4. Wash the lemons thoroughly and cut them into wedges.
  5. 5. Remove the tuna steaks from the marinade and let them drain well.
  6. 6. Heat a pan thoroughly, but do not add any extra oil.
  7. 7. Sear the tuna steaks for one to two minutes on each side.
  8. 8. Remove the cooked steaks from the pan and place them on the plates.
  9. 9. Pour two to four tablespoons of oil and the remaining marinade into the still hot pan.
  10. 10. Fry the lemon wedges vigorously in the hot liquid.
  11. 11. Remove the pan from the heat to prevent burning.
  12. 12. Gently press the lemon wedges with a fork to release the juice.
  13. 13. Place the lemon wedges on top of the tuna steaks.
  14. 14. Drizzle some of the hot lemon oil from the pan over the dish.
  15. 15. Finally, season the dish to taste with salt and freshly ground pepper.
