🍽️ Grilled Tuna with Fresh Salsa

Ingredients
- 2 mangoes
- 3 tomatoes
- 1 red onion
- 1 handful Thai basil
- 1 chili pepper
- 3 limes
- 1 tsp honey
- salt
- pepper
- 4 tuna steaks (approx. 180 g each)
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
Instructions
- 1. Peel the mango using a vegetable peeler or a sharp knife.
- 2. Carefully cut the flesh away from the pit.
- 3. Cut the mango flesh into approx. 1 cm cubes.
- 4. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly.
- 5. Cut out the stem area of the tomatoes.
- 6. Dice the tomatoes finely.
- 7. Peel the onion completely.
- 8. Finely chop the onion.
- 9. Rinse the basil under running water.
- 10. Shake the basil dry.
- 11. Finely chop the basil.
- 12. Slice the chili pepper into thin rings.
- 13. Wear gloves when handling the chili.
- 14. Halve two limes and set them aside.
- 15. Squeeze the remaining lime.
- 16. Mix the mango with the tomato cubes.
- 17. Add the onion cubes to the mixture.
- 18. Add the chopped basil.
- 19. Add the chili rings to the mixture.
- 20. Add the lime juice to the salsa.
- 21. Add the honey to the salsa.
- 22. Season the salsa with salt.
- 23. Season the salsa with pepper.
- 24. Preheat the grill.
- 25. Rinse the tuna steaks briefly.
- 26. Pat the tuna steaks dry.
- 27. Brush the tuna steaks with oil.
- 28. Grill the tuna steaks for approx. 2 minutes on each side.
- 29. Salt and pepper the tuna steaks while grilling.
- 30. Grill the lime halves for approx. 5 minutes.
- 31. Serve the tuna steaks with the salsa.
- 32. Serve with half a lime on the side.
